RSS feeds push information to the subscriber. It works a bit like the Sky+ Series Link, you decide what programmes you want to record on a regular basis, set the Series Link and all the future programmes are recorded. When you subscribe to an RSS feed you get all future communications that are submitted to that feed. So, if you subscribe to a podcast you will automatically get all subsequent episodes.
